Vivaldi Praised Over Rival Browsers
259 reviewsUsers overwhelmingly express satisfaction with Vivaldi by directly comparing it favourably to Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, and Opera, citing superior customisation, built-in ad/tracker blocking, and a cleaner UI. This cluster reflects a strong positive sentiment rather than a problem, with users recommending Vivaldi as a replacement for mainstream browsers. The high rating concentration (222 five-star reviews) and recurring competitor comparisons suggest this is a loyalty and advocacy pattern among Vivaldi's core user base.

I really love this browser honestly better than Chrome. I've used it before :) on Linux and Windows :D

Updates Break Speed and Stability
202 reviewsUsers repeatedly report that recent Vivaldi updates have caused severe performance regressions, including freezing, slow tab loading, and unresponsive UI — particularly when many tabs are open. A persistent tab-switching bug (closing one tab jumps to a random unrelated tab) has also gone unresolved across multiple versions. These issues are especially frustrating for power users who chose Vivaldi precisely for its tab management capabilities and speed.

Privacy and Anti-AI Big Tech Escape
168 reviewsUsers are switching to Vivaldi specifically to escape data harvesting, intrusive AI overviews, and ad-heavy experiences from Chrome, Edge, and other mainstream browsers. Reviews consistently highlight Vivaldi's privacy protections, tracker/ad blocking, and deliberate absence of forced AI features as the primary reasons for adoption. This matters deeply to this user base because their core motivation is reclaiming control over their browsing data and experience from large tech platforms.

love the app, very user friendly and easy, much better than the annoying ad magnet and data thief that is Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, this browser is easily one of my top favourites with Opera, Brave and Firefox
