Firefox Praised Over Chrome Privacy
735 reviewsThis cluster is dominated by highly positive reviews where users celebrate Firefox as the superior alternative to Chrome, specifically citing privacy protection, tracking prevention, and extension support (especially ad blockers like uBlock Origin) as the key differentiators. The reviews consistently frame Firefox as a trustworthy, non-tracking browser in contrast to Google's data-harvesting approach. This matters to Firefox users because privacy and extension freedom are the core reasons they chose and remain loyal to the browser.

great browser, specially the wide support for extensions, can't use a browser without ublock origin. I like the recent addition of more customization options

Forced UI Redesign Frustrates Users
496 reviewsRecent Firefox mobile updates have introduced sweeping UI changes — including oversized tabs, reorganized menus, shifted toolbar buttons, and removed features like 'Select All Tabs' — that users widely describe as unintuitive and worse than before. Reviews consistently complain that these changes were pushed without opt-out options, breaking established workflows and muscle memory. Because Firefox's core appeal is user control and customization, imposing non-reversible interface overhauls feels especially contrary to the browser's identity, driving many loyal users to consider switching.

New UI is atrocious. None of the changes were necessary. Tabs are entirely too big. Why is there a mix of square and round elements across the app? There was no reason to change the order of regular and private tabs either. If you're gonna …

The current three-dots menu is incredibly annoying, slow and disorganised. It is inconsistently laid out, too, which is a cardinal sin of app design. I'd like the old menu back. Other than that, a good browser.

Unwanted AI Features Betray Privacy
152 reviewsUsers are deeply frustrated that Firefox is adding AI-powered features (such as page summarization and AI suggestions) that are enabled by default, feel invasive, and are difficult or impossible to disable. This is seen as a fundamental betrayal of Firefox's core identity as a privacy-respecting browser, with many long-time users saying they are switching to alternatives like Mullvad or Brave. The issue is compounded by settings being silently reset after updates and a general pattern of Mozilla overriding user preferences without consent.

The “address bar” doesn’t actually show the address anymore, which makes it needlessly difficult to surf many sites. They also keep pushing their AI ‘features’ and advertising them with obnoxious pop-ups. As fast as I can turn them off the…

They keep making bad UX decisions. They also keep making bad privacy decisions. I just found why do not track protection was off! What the heck! Every update it gets a little worse. They ruined the bookmarks a little while back because …

Long-Term User Loyalty and Praise
138 reviewsThis cluster is dominated by highly positive reviews from long-time Firefox users who praise the browser's speed, reliability, privacy features, and extension support. Rather than a problem, it represents a strong pattern of brand loyalty and satisfaction, with users explicitly contrasting Firefox favorably against Chrome and other browsers. A small minority note minor UI issues like accidental tab deletion, but these are exceptions in an overwhelmingly positive cluster.

It is fast, works seamlessly on all my devices, and they are not one of the tech giants. Have been using it in some form for decades. What’s not to like?
